As a baby boomer it is so important to eat well and to develop a healthy diet and a healthy lifestyle. We all need to lose weight to live longer. Gone are the days where you can eat but we want to win and not weight. Gone are the days that exercise was easy and recovering from illness and injury was a piece of cake.

 Every physical problem, every health problems and weight gain now intensified. In truth, if you have more than forty years as you know battling to stay fit and keep our weight is not easy. We have years of bad habits to change if we want to live a healthier longer.

If I am like most baby boomers I see the sickness and death of friends and relatives. That scares me. My death is on my face. But there is something we can do about it. It starts with our diet. These 7 simple tips can help you lose weight and prevent serious diseases.



Tip  1 Drink lots of water


Water is necessary to help the functions of all organs especially our digestive system. Our digestive system is the center of our health. This is where food and nutrition is sent through our bodies, while the residues must be removed. Water helps our metabolism, energy and overall hydration. Water is also important for weight loss. The best we can do for our health is to drink lots of water, about 8 glasses a day.



Tip  2 Eat nine servings of fruits and vegetables a day

 
The USDA recommends nine servings of fruits and vegetables daily. Fruits and vegetables and whole grains, nuts and beans are beans plant bearing seed that God says he has given man to eat the food. Therefore, the best diet is the one with the variety of fresh fruit and raw vegetables. Fruits and vegetables provide all the vitamins and nutrition we need in a healthy diet.


 We also received antioxidants to fight against many diseases that afflict us. Fruits and vegetables are low in fat lean supply with high protein and carbohydrates. Tip  5 Avoid unhealthy food and drink


Refined sugars, excess sodium, food preservatives and artificial sweeteners are the main culprits of our combat diseases being overweight. Very often our diets are full of empty calories and often harmful to any nutrient. Who can say no to cake German chocolate, homemade ice cream or peach cobbler? What's another can of your favorite drink? Can we give up?  


These are all addictive. Such as drugs, alcohol and cigarettes, sweeteners, sugar and sodium are all addictive foods and added that we hooked. Money of Health is not the main objective of the food industry, and we must take care of our personal health and wellness.

Tip  6 of regular exercise


Yes exercise strengthens muscles, increases endurance, helps you lose weight and make us look good. But regular exercise also helps fight disease and strengthens our immune system. We need to be both aerobic training and strength for optimal health. As baby boomers, we should avoid high-impact exercise several times our bones can not handle this.


 But 30 to 60 minutes a day of aerobic and strength training will do wonders for us. We lived in a primary agriculture or even factory company most people got there working exercise. Now we intend to exercise daily.

Tip 7 in fresh air, sunlight and sleep
Too often we overlook the importance of fresh air, sunlight and sleep. Living a life so fast that we rarely take the time to go outside for fresh air and sunlight. Our body needs fresh oxygen. If we continue just to breathe indoor air that we recycle the waste we exhale. God made plants to take advantage of our waste and give us fresh oxygen and need the sun to promote growth in our body.


 Have you noticed the best athletes are usually warmer climates. They get plenty of fresh air and sunlight. If you eat well, drink well, exercise the right, let fresh air and sunlight will sleep better. Our bodies need to renew and rejuvenate.

So to live healthier lives and we need to respond to these diet tips healthy; Drink lots of water, eat fruits and vegetables, eat less often and early, drink natural tea, avoid unhealthy foods and drinks, regular exercise, get plenty of fresh air, sunlight and sleep.
