The Medical Science Behind Weight Gain, Weight Loss and Diet

Weight Loss and Diet

Why is it for those who are overweight, weight loss seems to be the hardest thing? Why is it for those who are underweight, weight gain seems to be so difficult? Why, after managing to lose or gain a few pounds after a few weeks, we're back in our previous weight?

There are many factors, including for these genetic and environmental. However, the factor of the strong trend is in its infancy. Most people know that excess energy is stored in the body as fat, but many are deceived into believing that fat is stored just under the skin, which is more bold, more distributed under the skin. These are not, if so, we would not be having our body shape, and most of us celebrated boring, if you know what I mean.

However, the most important of this is that you have the answer to the questions above:

Why is it for those who are overweight, weight loss seems to be the hardest thing?
Why is it for those who are underweight, weight gain seems to be so difficult?

Fats are not merely deposited on the surface of the skin. Fat is stored in containers called "adipocytes", which are distributed throughout the body in different densities. This means more fat cells in the hips cells that your arms. These containers of fat, once we grow as adults, almost never, except in the extreme, and I mean extreme weight added benefits. Therefore, more fat to be stored, the more these containers are themselves develop. In our childhood, however, the case is different.

When we were kids, when our mother fed us with all these delicious foods, even extra energy is stored as fat in these containers. However, unlike the adult, once the containers are full, they will be divided in half, doubling the number of containers. This occurs during childhood that when it comes to early adolescence, the number or grease containers to determine the amount of fat can be stored in the body for life!

Therefore, for those who generate "many fat containers during childhood (children who are overweight) tend to continue becoming obese in adulthood, as there are many fat containers to store fat by compared with children who are not overweight. For children who are underweight, however, you have a difficult time gaining weight, because there are many of these fat containers when they reach adolescence.

Therefore, the only way to gain weight is to fill these containers, and expand, which makes sense compared difficult when you already have many fat containers and all you have to do is fill.

So there it is, try to remember how you were when you were a child? It may be too late for us to change the number of fat container in our body, but now that you know this, we have uncles, aunts or anyone you know your child to overeat. Tell them that affect his life. Get rid of the myth that "a child of fat is a healthy child." Well, perhaps, for the moment, but what happens when he or she grows up?

Now there are questions about what is, after managing to lose or gain a few pounds after a few weeks, we're back in our previous weight? Here I will introduce a messenger released from fat stored in containers called "hormone leptin. These messengers are released continuously from the container fat and get into our blood, eventually reaching the brain. Here, this messenger of the Leptin He will tell the brain to "eat less, eat less!"

Now what happens when we lose a few pounds successfully? Less fat there is in the containers, the less leptin is produced, and therefore there are fewer messengers to tell the brain to "eat less!" The brain now that nobody tells you to eat less, will, of course, eat more!

You may not be aware of this, because our brain works in mysterious ways, unconscious. It can manifest itself unconsciously bite snacks while watching TV (we call this the habit of eating), or "small" portion of rice to collect our plates, thinking, "Oh, I lost a little weight, a little more rice would now not bad ".

This is our previous weight, which is our "set point." This reference point is the weight that your body thinks is the "normal weight", although not seem normal for you. It is, since we become adults. Have you noticed that your weight stays the same most of the time since I was an adult? (Yes, you, but slowly gaining weight once you start aging. It is because your metabolism slows down, but that's another story)

The same goes for hard gainers. Once they gain weight successfully, there will be more fat in fat containers, and will produce more leptin messenger. Therefore, to say that the brain "eat less!", And the brain follows orders, and many unconsciously obey the order of leptin too.

Here I will come to a conclusion. You might be disappointed to read this post, hoping that it would provide the scientific knowledge "miracle" on how to lose or gain weight. I regret to say that there is none. Naturally, at least.

There are many medications and procedures that can make you lose weight, but will not recommend. There are too many risks in people. So to get your ideal weight, you have to work for it! You must consciously go against unconscious eating more orders. We can control our unconscious to be constantly aware of our actions. After successfully losing weight, there is a "bonus" that allows you to eat more. Beware of hidden television snacks.

The most important thing is going to work out! Everyone understands that weight loss formula is "the energy used is consumed more energy," but very few sales in practice. Therefore, jogging, cycling, swimming, football, everything which uses a lot of energy. It does not have to be boring. You have what you want. If you like basketball and play basketball!

Records winners, rather than relying on fat to grow, you can resort to develop muscles. Muscles are 2 times heavier than fat. Get the myth of the head "to build muscle, you need to grow first. Because fat is what becomes the muscles." This is completely false! Fat and muscle are completely different cell types, and they should not each other to grow. All you need is enough protein, which can be acquired through our daily consumption of meat, chicken or fish. So go ahead, try lifting weights.

Some women out there might think, "No way will lift weights and bulky bodies that men seem." They are deceived by the myth that if women lift weights, your body will become bulky than men. The fact is No, women would not be bulky than men, unless you go for the extreme weight lifting, such as those used in the Olympics. In women Games, the amount of "hormone testosterone" or hormone that increases muscle, is much, much less.

In addition, the shape of male and female muscle are different, so you will not end up as a form than men (unless, as I said before, you will lift the "weight of the wing Olympics ). However, do not forget to put in another exercise such as running or biking into your routine. It helps the heart work better. Lifting weights does little for the heart.

So there it is, weight loss, weight gain and the science behind it. For those struggling to reach the ideal weight, keep up the good work and never give up! I hope this!
